Rita Cole | Dodge County Environmental Services

Rita has been with Dodge County Environmental Services for 18 years, starting as a part-time clerk and working her way up to Waste Management Administrator. Along the way, she has taken on a variety of roles — from enforcing solid waste ordinances and collaborating with haulers, supporting the Transfer Station and Recycling Center, while also serving as the department’s finance technician. She also manages the Dodge County Renovation Reuse building, a project especially close to her heart. Reuse has always been a passion, and she loves giving items a second life and helping people find a good bargain! When the proposed 16th Street project was likely to happen for county property south of their demolition landfill, the timing felt right to pursue a grant to build the reuse facility. After many challenges and a lot of dedication, the reuse building became a reality.
