Kris Coperine | Circular Action Alliance

Kris Coperine is the Minnesota Program Manager for Circular Action Alliance (CAA), working closely with the advisory board, regulators, and key interest holders to design and implement the state’s stewardship plan under the Packaging Waste and Cost Reduction Act. With 20+ years in sustainability and program delivery, she has led plastics and compostable materials initiatives, end-of-life strategy, and stewardship planning.

Previously, she served as Executive Director of the Western Plastics Association and was a Circular Economy Specialist in Public Affairs at NatureWorks. Kris represented the composters’ seat on Minnesota’s EPR Advisory Board and held leadership roles with the Minnesota Composting Council (MNCC) and the USCC Target Organics Committee. She holds a BA (University of Minnesota), an International MBA (University of Denver), a University of Cambridge circular economy certificate, and is a LEED Green Associate, CAPM, and TRUE Waste Advisor. Her background includes consulting, commercial property management, universal waste recycling, and business development, as well as restaurant, grocery, and retail.
