Steve Vrchota| Pope Douglas Solid Waste Management
Steve Vrchota has worked in the Waste to Energy and material separation industries for over 30 years. He went to school at the University of Minnesota, earning a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in material separation technology. Steve’s thesis project focused on metal separation from electric arc furnace dust. He spent 13 years at Great River Energy as a boiler engineer, construction manager, and plant manager. Steve is the current Chair of the Minnesota Resource Recovery Association and the Solid Waste Director for the Pope-Douglas Solid Waste Management Program.
