Dori Decker | Western Lake Superior Sanitary District
Dori Decker joined Resource Renew, The brand of Western Lake Superior Sanitary District, in 2021 as an Environmental Program Coordinator. Her current responsibilities include program development and coordination, community outreach and education, communications and marketing, and compliance assistance in organics recycling. Dori is a member of the Board for the Minnesota Composting Council and is excited to be part of the team coordinating the MNCC Compost Operators Training at Resource Renew in the fall.
Dori holds a B.S. in Biology and a B.A.S. in Teaching Life Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth; she also completed a M.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Iowa. Dori summarizes her 30-year career so far as an adventure in education and advocacy in a mash-up of topics to include life sciences, environmental education, and public health. Prior to coming to Resource Renew, Dori worked at the University of Minnesota Duluth for over a decade as a Health Educator & Wellness Coordinator, and as an adjunct instructor.
